Creation Start (1958-1963)
In July 1958, the central government decided to build three main engine manufacturing plants for boilers, steam turbines and electric motors in Lanzhou. In December 1959, the First Ministry of Machinery Industry changed its name to Lanzhou Comprehensive Motor Factory.

Stereotype development (1964-1987)
From 1964 to 1969, more than 700 industrial workers, managers and technicians were relocated to support Lanzhou Electric Machinery Factory from Shanghai Xinxin Electric Machinery Factory, Xiangtan Electric Machinery Factory, and Harbin Electric Machinery Factory. In the early 1970s, the factory successively built a special railway line, a middle school for children, and a hospital for employees. Generators, power supply vehicles, and large and medium-sized motor workshops have been completed and put into production.
In 1972, the factory's general alternator exports reached 200,000 US dollars in foreign exchange throughout the year, and it was exported to Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. This was the first time that our factory's motor products entered the international market. In 1976, the factory provided irrigation for the second phase of Jingtaichuan in Gansu Province. -
Transition variant (1988-2009)
From 1989 to 1992, the company introduced German Siemens AC servo, spindle motor and large and medium-sized AC variable frequency speed regulation motor and frequency conversion device technology.
In December 1996, it was officially restructured into Lanzhou Electric Motor Group Co., Ltd., and successively acquired and merged four enterprises including the original Lanzhou Changjin Electric Motor Factory and Lanzhou Diesel Engine Factory.
In 1997, the "Iran Motor Manufacturing Project" was implemented, with a total contract value of 21 million US dollars, which was the first major international project undertaken by my country's motor industry at that time.

Reform and Innovation (2010-2016)
In August 2010, our company's 49.5MW Minqin wind power project started.
